About
Shannon Malkin Daniels is a TEDx speaker, professional storyteller and communication expert who helps professionals and business owners own their voice, hone their messaging and deliver it with confidence, whether in the boardroom or on the stage.
She firmly believes every person has a story to tell and a message the world needs to hear, yet too many hold back—either out of fear or because they struggle to shape their ideas into a clear, compelling message. Shannon helps people overcome both by building their confidence and teaching them how to refine their delivery without losing themselves in the process.
She knows firsthand how easy it is to get caught up in trying to sound perfect. Early in her career, she focused on saying all the right things in the right way, following the rules of what “professional” communication was supposed to look like. But something was missing. The more she focused on being polished, the less she connected with others. It wasn’t until she embraced her own quirks, personality and perspective that she started making authentic connections and real impact. Now, she helps others do the same.
Through her speaking, coaching and corporate training, Shannon has helped leaders in industries from tech to health to finance own their voice and transform how they communicate. Nervous speakers become confident presenters, hesitant storytellers become compelling communicators, and everyday conversations become opportunities for real connection.
Shannon holds a master’s degree in interpersonal communication from the University of Central Florida and has taught at Columbia University and Iona University. Her book, Water Yourself: A Practical Guide to Weed Out the Bad, Get More Good & Live Your Dreams, has reached readers in ten countries. She is also a contributing author to three anthologies, two of which became best sellers.
When she’s not coaching or speaking, you can find Shannon hiking, reading or soaking up the sun at the beach with her husband, Matt, and their French Bulldog, Rover.
