Drop The Mic Night is an IN PERSON event that takes place in Stamford, CT on February 25, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. You must be available to attend in person should you be selected to present.

Theme

The theme for our November event is CONNECTIVITY.

Your challenge is to present a 5 minute speech related to this theme.

During our speaker selection process, we'll be considering several factors, and will be looking closely at how you uniquely interpret and plan to embody the theme of CONNECTIVITY within your talk.

Bold Ideas

This isn’t the place to play it safe with your ideas. We want to hear what’s been rumbling inside of you, waiting for it’s time to shine. We’re looking for speakers who are ready to share their bold ideas of Audacity with the world!

We are seeking speakers who bring fresh, imaginative perspectives to their interpretation of "audacity," demonstrating innovative thinking, originality and a willingness to push boundaries. We value creativity that challenges conventional notions, sparks curiosity, and leaves audiences inspired and intrigued.

What Speakers Get

Coaching

Each of our 10 speakers will receive feedback on their speech content and a complimentary 30-minute coaching session with Professional Speaker and Public Speaking & Authenticity Coach, Shannon Malkin Daniels, to help polish your content and delivery so that you shine brightly when you step up to the mic.

Speaker Video

You will receive a high quality video of your talk, an invaluable asset to any aspiring speaker working to build their speaker reel and credentials!

Experience

There is no replacement for the feel of the stage under your feet, the microphone in your hand and the sound of applause after a well-delivered message. This is your chance to step on stage in front of a live audience, take up space and share your story, while gaining incredibly important experience on your journey to become a professional speaker.

Visibility

In addition to giving you exposure to a live audience, we will be highlighting and promoting our 10-speakers across our social media platforms and in our newsletters.

Confidence

There’s no better way to build confidence as a speaker than stepping on stage and DOING IT. Once you've crushed your first presentation, you'll have the confidence, skills and experience to take any stage!

Not only will you forge meaningful connections with fellow speakers, but you'll also have the opportunity to take the stage at HAYVN Coworking Community, where you'll immerse yourself in a vibrant community of entrepreneurs.
